3802 LLU MAX – MAX-Design, Double Row, ABEC-3, Radial Suspension Bearing -15mm x 24mm x 7mm
Enduro Bearings pioneered MAX type bearings almost 20 years ago for bicycles to address the challenges associated with mountain bike pivots. MAX bearings provide 35-40% more load capacity than standard radial bearings by employing with a special design where the maximum number of balls (full-complement) are inserted into the bearing. The race grooves are also deeper on these bearings to provide increased lateral support to counteract the twisting and multi-directional forces associated with mountain bike pivots. This ABEC-3 bearing features deep-groove design races, with Grade 10 balls and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals for maximum protection against the elements, while keeping the 90% fill of Almagard Extra High Pressure Grease inside. The double-row design greatly reduces flex in the suspension linkage while doubling the bearing contact area.
This bearing has been used as a suspension pivot bearing by Pivot and Santa Cruz bikes.
